Paul, Danielle, and Agung! I'm sorry to have left your comments so long - I wasn't receiving the notifications I usually do so I didn't see them. I think I've fixed that problem now. Please let me know if you've solved the problems and if not, I'll look into them.

Many thanks.

After trying upload your MARC data, the process can't complete. Btw, I still don't understand with your step from number 11 (Fill in the text boxes of the Search Editor, Scrib Spelling, and Scope Selector. You can see what facets are available to you in the Options -> Scriblio screen. Try auth in one, subj in one, format in another. Save.).

Can you explain more spesific? Because at my wordpress, I can't find the text boxes.

Thanks you

I installed bsuite and scriblio fine and created my own catalog from MARC records I imported from LOC. I am doing this for a class project, so THANK YOU for creating this program.

The only problem I have encountered is that the subject and author links inside each record do not link anywhere. I get an Error 404-Not found.

The weird thing is that the subject and author links in the sidebar widgets work fine and sort my records accordingly.

I this a known problem? Can I fix it?

Thank you for any help.

Helo:

I've gotten scriblio installed/configured on a WinXP box with WAMP. My problem comes with the Catalog Importer tool. I receive the warning (not error) "Invalid Record Length" for each of the records imported. Debug mode shows only one record and it looks normal.

Then, trying to publish those harvested records, I'll either get 1 or no posts from them. Subsequent imports overwrite that one, although the post ID increments.

The marc files are an export of a Sirsi/Unicorn recordset, and I'm trying to use the LCCN as the source ID field. I've also tried a limited OCLC marc import, with the same results.

Does this have anything at all to do with my LCCN selection, my prefix assignment, or the files themselves? They look similar in content to your example file, which I have not tried, yet.

Thanks

Edward,

It should work on linux as long as the requirements are fulfilled: http://about.scriblio.net/download We've been seeing quite a few errors from people using php4 instead of php5 - it must be php5.

I'll look into the other error.

Tried this on my test machine above, but could not activate the bsuite core plugin - got the following error:

Parse error: parse error, expecting `T_OLD_FUNCTION' or `T_FUNCTION' or `T_VAR' or `'}'' in /Library/WebServer/Documents/blog/wp-content/plugins/bsuite_core/core.php on line 75

Perhaps this is because my testing machine is a Macintosh instead of Linux?
