Informal poll!
I think libraries, understandably perhaps, jump on the content bandwagon- they're providing access to high priced databases and their own catalogs via ILS; they're building intricate subject guides and resource reviews. But very few are paying real attention to interface design and, when it comes down to it, a collection of online resources is only as good as its interface. It seems to me that libraries are just starting, over the past few years, to have web developers on staff; People whose clear and sole purpose is integrated, intuitive and consistent interface design.
How many libraries out there have devoted web developers? How long has that position existed?
I'll start: I'm it and two years.
