Today is Philip Larkin's birthday… famous british poet and librarian. Also an interesting guy. I get so excited when I discover little bits and bobs like this; I want to share… which is part of the reason I have this blog. But what I really *squeeze eyes shut* wish wish wish was that my library had a news feed where I could post this little library tidbit. I'm working on getting such a thing… as the great Greg Brown says, “I've watched my country turn into a coast to coast strip mall, if that can happen in so few years, why does good change take so long.” Amen to that, Greg. And thanks to Garrison Keillor for the heads up.
