Cuz, I’m using Blingo. Check it out.
I am blessed with the rockin-est cousin ever. He just sent me an email soliciting my traffic on a new search web site:
I’ve been using Blingo to search the web. It’s just like searching at Google or Yahoo except Blingo gives away prizes, like iPods and PlayStation Portables. Check it out and sign up as my Blingo Friend. (this is wierd company explanation)
my explanation: D000000D, so, it’s a searchy thing, but you can win stuff!!! powered by google, so same search results, but you can WIN STUFF!!! sign up, and search with it, and be awesome!!!
Uh huh… Information IS the new currency, my friends. Search relevance rankings, credibility, and exhaustivity matter little to a new demographic - they want to win stuff. Which is fine, right? I can’t blame them one bit - I certainly wouldn’t turn away a new iPod (although I don’t think I’ll be signing up for this site - but more to do with privacy issues. My bigger concern, of course, is that folks confuse a pop-search with prizes with true, academically sound research.
